Italian Hot Chocolate ===================== - 4 tbsp (50g) sugar - 3 tbsp (15g) unsweetened cocao powder - big pinch of salt - 1.5 cups (355ml) plus 2 tbsp (30ml) of milk divided - 4 tsp (12g) cornstarch - 2.5 oz (70g) chopped dark chocolate - 1/2 tsp vanilla extact Instructions: 1) Whisk sugar, cocao powder, salt in a sauce pan. Set low-medium heat and whisk in 1.5 cups (355ml) milk. Heat 5-6 min 2) While mixture heating, whisk cornstarch and 2 tbsp (30ml) of milk in small bowl until disolve + smooth 3) Drizzle cornstarch mix + whisk into hot chocolate. Heat 8-10 min until thickens enough to coat back of spoon. Do not boil 4) Add chopped chocolate+ whisk until smooth. Heat to desired thickness. 5) Remove from heat, whisk in vanilla extract + serve warm This makes ~18oz in total or 3 six oz servings.
